Reputation for disposal of cases

HYDERABAD, SEPT. 8. Mr. Justice B. Subhashan Reddy of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, who has been appointed the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, has had a distinguished career as an advocate and a judge.

Known for his quick grasp of issues, he has never shied away from any critical situation. He has launched the legal services schemes with vigour after he took over the legal services authority.

Born in 1943 in Hyderabad, Mr. Subhashan Reddy did his LL.B from the Osmania Law college. Enrolled as advocate in 1966, he was elevated to the Andhra Pradesh High Court in 1991 and is said to be responsible for the disposal of a large number of main and miscellaneous cases.

Mr. Justice Reddy held the post of the president of the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy and is now the executive chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.
