Awards for U.S. dancers
Nala Najan.Bhaskar Roy Chowdhury.Matteo.THREE CLASSICAL dancers
from the U.S. were presented the Arts India Award, instituted by
Sruti Foundation, Chennai, in recognition of their contribution
in the inter-cultural context.
Therecipients are Nala Najan (Robert Rivero), Matteo (Matthew
Marcellus Vittucci) and Bhaskar Roy Chowdhury.
Theawardswhich include a citation, a Thanjavur plate and a shawl
were presented by N. Pattabhi Raman, managing trustee, Sruti
Foundation at a function in New York, on September 26 and
privately a day earlier to Nala Najan.
