Karunanidhi threatens stir
By Our Special Correspondent
CHENNAI, OCT. 17. The DMK president, Mr. M. Karunanidhi, today
said his party would have no other recourse than launching
agitations in the face of attacks by the police and ruling
partymen.
In a statement, he said the series of attacks on the DMK men,
including on the party's August 12 rally, made it clear that the
partymen had no option but to sacrifice themselves in the
``Battle for Dharma''.
Mr. Karunanidhi wondered why the officials were conniving with
the ruling party.
Noting that there was largescale violence in the civic polls, he
said the media too had reported the incidents.
