People are losers

Sir, - Our thanks to Mr. Harish Khare for saying what so many of us would like to tell the Government and the Prime Minister and saying it all so courageously, with no holds barred. We expected better of Mr. Vajpayee and Mr. Jaswant Singh, even though the way George Fernandes resigned in the first place should have prepared us for this. In this situation everyone mentioned in Mr. Khare's column is the loser, except for ``King George'' as he has been called by another commentator, and of course, we, the people of India. But then who is concerned about them in our present condition?
