 Have no illusions over Kashmir, PM tells Pak.
Somnath (Gujarat), Oct. 31. The Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee, today asked Pakistan not to harbour any illusion that it would ever be able to dismember Kashmir from India.

'We reserve right to military action'
Jammu, Oct. 31. A top Army commander today warned Pakistan that India reserved the right to take military action against its troops and terrorist groups if they continued to carry out ``hostile acts'' against the country like sabotage and infiltration.

Pak. sees 'disparity' between Govt., Army
Islamabad, Oct. 31. Pakistan today said that there appeared to be ``disparity and disconnect'' between the Indian Government and Army.

 U.S. carpet bombing begins near Kabul
Washington, Oct. 31. The United States has begun carpet bombing Taliban positions near Kabul in what is seen as a major escalation of the ongoing operations.

 B.K. Nehru dead
New Delhi, Oct. 31. Mr. B.K. Nehru, a distinguished diplomat and former Governor of Gujarat and the senior-most member of the Nehru clan, died at Kasuli in Himachal Pradesh today.

13 policemen killed
Dhanbad, Oct. 31. Radical left-wing extremists today shot and stabbed to death 13 police personnel, including two officers, and seriously wounded four in two separate attacks in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.

Togadia detained
Jalgaon, Oct. 31. The international general secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Mr. Pravin Togadia, along with 100 activists of the Bajrang Dal, was today detained by police at the Bhusawal railway station in the district, while they were on their way to attend a ``Hindu Mahasamellan'' here.
