In the case of the NSUI, its president, Menakshi Natrajan, has been made the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress chief. The Congress leadership maintains that it is in the process of short-listing the names for the replacements and an announcement will be made shortly. Among those being considered for the Mahila Congress presidentship are the Lok Sabha member, Renuka Chaudhary, the Rajya Sabha member, Prabha Thakur and Reeta Joshi. Similarly, the names for the presidentship of the NSUI are, Manik Tagore, Ashok Tanwar and Sunil Alivre.
