The fact that the Pakistan Foreign Office chose to make it public its readiness is significant, as one of the Ministers had created confusion by saying that the bus service might resume only some time in July-August. The Minister had cited visa problems as the main reason for the likely delay of the bus service, which was tentatively scheduled to start on July 1. The Foreign Office said essential related matters, including issuance of visas and route permits, are being addressed with a view to enabling the service to resume as soon as possible.
