``This is a baseless demand. There is no question of accepting it,'' the BJP president, M. Venkaiah Naidu, told reporters here after a meeting in which Mr. Vajpayee and the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, and the Finance Minister, Jaswant Singh, participated to discuss the agenda for the BJP national executive meeting to be held in Raipur later this month. He said Mr. Vajpayee was the leader of the BJP as also of the NDA and the people and there was no question of accepting the demand. Mr. Naidu said the Ayodhya issue was not discussed during the meeting. The agenda for the Raipur national executive and issues such as sugarcane price and farmers' crop insurance scheme came up. PTI
