115 killed in plane crash

KHARTOUM JULY 8. A Sudanese airliner crashed early today in eastern Sudan, killing all but one of the 116 people aboard, including a senior military officer and three Indians.

A baby was the sole survivor of the accident, which occurred shortly after the Sudan Airways Boeing 737 took off from Port Sudan on the Red Sea and was bound for the capital Khartoum, airline and government officials said. — AFP
