From the catwalk to `Chicago'

WASHINGTON: Supermodel Naomi Campbell has received an offer to act in a Broadway production of Chicago and she is seriously considering it after several abortive attempts at leaving the world of catwalks and catfights. Well aware that her modelling career cannot last indefinitely, Campbell is determined to diversify. Having tried her hand at writing (her novel `Swan' was for the most part actually written by another) and singing (one critic said album `Babywoman' was summed up by the single `Love and Tears' "but without the love"), she is jumping at the chance to act in the musical. Her mother, Valerie, is relieved that all those tap and ballet lessons she sent her gazelle-like daughter to finally paid-off. "I was so flattered to be asked," Campbell cooed.— ANI
