By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD July 11. The State Government has recommended grant of "deemed to be university'' status to the newly-established South Asia International Institute, which has been promoted by the US-based Sylvan Learning System, Baltimore.

According to an official press release, the State Government has allotted 125 acres of land for setting up the university campus in Hyderabad. This follows the signing of an MoU between the State Government and Sylvan International BV, Netherlands, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the US company.

The press release notes that this is part of the Government's efforts to promote the development of educational institutions in the State.
