Akali MLA arrested

CHANDIGARH JULY 29. Punjab Vigilance sleuths have arrested the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) legislator from Joga, Jagdeep Singh Nakai, on charges of forging documents to become chairman of MILKFED and committing ``irregularities'' in allocation of certain contracts to agencies during his tenure in the previous Badal regime.

A senior Vigilance Bureau official said here today that other charges framed against him included ``nepotism and favouritism''.
