Reports reaching here said that V. Srinivas (30) and his wife Kasturi (25) were running a small tea stall on the banks of the river Godavari in Kaleshwaram town since ages. However, revenue authorities, to pave way for the pilgrims visiting bathing ghats, had forcibly removed their hotel. The couple, unable to eke out their livelihood without their business, decided to end their lives. The police assured them of all assistance for setting up of hotel near the Pushkaram ghats.
