Karnataka-Bangalore
By Our Special Correspondent
Mr. Ashok, who represents the <149>Uttarahalli Constituency, alleged that the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) had permitted the developer of Vinayaka Layout in Nagarbhava<149>i IX Block (in the limits of Sri Rajarajeshwari Town Municipal Council) to convert parks and civic amenity sites into house sites and sell them. The original approval for the layout issued by the BDA in 1992 had been revised in 2002 paving the way for the destruction of the civic amenity sites and the parks. Mr. Ashok, who showed some documents, demanded that the BDA commissioner hold an inquiry into the matter. The Chief Minister told him to hand over the documents to him and announced that he would inquire into the allegation. In his written reply, he said that in the original approval for the layout, there was provision for nine parks and five civic amenity sites. In the revised plan, there was mention of 10 parks and two civic amenity sites.
