"The locators given by the U.S. are not correct, it should rectify the alleged and unsubstantiated linkage to Pakistani documentation and location," a statement by the Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman said. The Pakistan Foreign Office complained that the U.S. notification on Dawood Ibrahim failed to clearly identify the individual as an Indian national, despite the background information given in the notification regarding his criminal activities in India and the Gulf. "The Government of Pakistan has, on several occasions in the past, categorically denied the presence of the Indian national, Dawood Ibrahim, on Pakistani soil. Despite these clarifications fresh inquiries were conducted revealing that a Pakistani passport (No. G 869537) given by the U.S. to be allegedly in the possession of Dawood Ibrahim in fact belongs to Imtiaz Hussain. Similarly, the telephone number given of (9921) 5892038 has been checked. It does not belong to any person named Dawood Ibrahim or Sheikh Dawood Hussain," the statement said. He said these facts had been conveyed to the U.S. "Dawood Ibrahim does not have a Pakistani travel document nor is he residing in any part of Pakistan soil," it said.
