EC rejects Jogi's plea

New Delhi Nov. 1. The Election Commission today rejected a plea by the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Ajit Jogi, to reconsider its orders for the transfer of District Collectors of Jashpur and Bastar, but sought a report from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry on his complaint regarding the misuse of media by the BJP.

``The order for transfer of the two District Collectors stands,'' Election Commission sources said, adding that the Chhattisgarh Government had been told to send a panel of alternative names to act as District Returning Officers.
