New Delhi
By Our Staff Reporter
According to Mr. Mehta, as per the provisions of the Delhi Master Plan, no commercial activity was permitted in the farmhouses situated in agriculture green areas of the Capital. However, it had been noticed that some of the farmhouse owners were permitting commercial activities like organising banquets and holding receptions for marriages and other parties under the grab of family function. The Municipal Commissioner has warned the farmhouse-owners against misusing their premises or else the Corporation will be forced to take stern penal action. Besides violating laws, such functions were also causing traffic jams creating great inconvenience to the public, he said, adding that pubic notices had also been issued in this connection.
