Sitting BJP MLA from Indore four seat, Laxman Singh Gaud is waiting for an official announcement of his candidature. Unofficially his nomination is almost certain. Mr Gaud had been decorated with a memento from the Union Sports and Youth Welfare Ministry for contesting the previous poll with a bare minimum. Mr Gaud claims that he had contested the last election with the help of only flags and banners given by the party. Mr Gaud said that he contested from the seat in 1993 and for that election he had spent around Rs 2 lakhs. In the next election he undertook a padyatra for campaigning, thus saving expenses borne on vehicles. -- UNI
