'It is a golden age for India'

NEW DELHI NOV. 17. The "golden age" of economic growth has dawned on India, according to the Union Finance Minister, Jaswant Singh. "I do believe that the golden age of growth had dawned for India and that is why India is shining," he said and assured the common man that prices would remain stable with inflation at a "very benign" level of less than five per cent.

A variety of combination of circumstances have now come together which "persuades me to say that the macro-economic conditions of the Indian economy has never been better, and, therefore, I do share with you my optimism that we are on the edge of reaching that point of criticality," he said in an interview to CNBC-TV18.
