Pak. envoy meets Joshi

NEW DELHI NOV. 17. The Pakistan High Commissioner, Aziz Ahmed Khan, met the Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, Murli Manohar Joshi, here today, and discussed with him issues of mutual interest in the area of education.

Described as a "courtesy call'', the meeting lasted for half an hour. This was the first time Mr. Khan called on Dr. Joshi after taking over as High Commissioner earlier this year. According to HRD officials, the two discussed the avenues in the education for mutual cooperation.

Dr. Joshi is among the first members of the Union Cabinet whom Mr. Khan has met after taking charge. Earlier, he met the Communications Minister, Arun Shourie, besides the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Manohar Joshi.
