Meet discusses strategy to tackle naxal menace

BHUBANESWAR NOV. 21. The Chief Secretaries and police chiefs of nine naxalite-affected States attended a meeting here today to chalk out strategies to tackle the growing menace of Left wing extremism.

The Central Coordination meeting was also attended by the Union Home Secretary, N. Gopalswamy, and the Director of Intelligence Bureau, K.P. Singh. The Chief Secretaries and Director-Generals of Police of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh attended the meeting.
