Opinion polls find Cong. ahead in 3 States
New Delhi
Nov. 21
. The BJP is ahead in Madhya Pradesh in the coming Assembly elections, say opinion polls conducted by two news weeklies, which, however, place the Congress ahead in the other States also going to the polls on December 1.
As the campaign enters mid-stream, the BJP's swing has increased from four per cent to six and that of the Chief Minister, Digvijay Singh, has decreased further from minus 3 to minus 4. The swing of others has also decreased by one point. All the gains are the BJP's, says the India Today-Aaj Tak ORG-MARG poll which gives the party 140 to 150 seats in the 230-member House against its 83 in 1998.
