Sayeed for lifting of travel curbs on Pakistan team

New Delhi Dec. 14 . The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, today favoured the lifting of curbs on any Pakistan delegation visiting India to travel to his State saying this would enable to counter the propaganda by vested interests about the situation there.

``During my talks with the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and the Deputy Prime Minister, L. K. Advani, I requested them to withdraw travel restrictions to Kashmir for any Pakistan delegation visiting India,'' he told reporters here after meeting the two leaders two days back.

Favouring a step-by-step approach towards holding talks with the Hurriyat Conference, the Mufti said there was no time-frame for holding parleys with the separatist amalgam.

``We have to have a step-by-step approach to the dialogue. One step taken has to be consolidated before moving to the next.'' — PTI
