Anglo-Indian front plea to Government

CHENNAI JAN. 6. The Anglo-Indian Suburban Front has urged the State Government to consider community certificates issued by registered Anglo-Indian Welfare Associations as proof of belonging to the community as was being done by Union Government departments.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the ``Family Get-together'' at Avadi recently. More than 100 members residing at Arakkonam and Gummidipoondi participated. A. Krishnaswamy, MP, was the chief guest.

The organisation also requested the Government to set up Anglo-Indian schools/institutions at Ambattur or Tiruvallur, Ennore or Minjur and Tambaram, according to an organisation release.
