A platform to showcase managerial skills

The Jamal Institute of Management, Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchi, has envisaged TIECOONS 2K7, the sixth edition of its gala mega event, an inter-university management meet slated for September 5 and 6, to serve as a warehouse for varied managerial skills of MBA students from different parts of the country. The 10 events have been designed to offer plentiful opportunities for the participants to tap their innate potential and share their expertise in various fields concern ing their academic life. The events comprise Mudeer (Best Manager), Hateeb (Paper Presentation), Al-IA Laan (Global Business Model), Kawn (Best Management Team), La’Bu Tabeer (Communication Game), Aakil (B-Quiz), Sookul Ilanth (Ad-Zap), Harb-Al-Boursha (Stock War), Mazeeg Samei Basari (Audio-Visual Mix) and Maradh (Corporate Show).

According to the organisers, the two-day event that would be inaugurated by Bharathidasan University Vice-Chancellor M. Ponnavaiko would be an outreach programme bringing together students, academicians, industrialists and technocrats on a single platform for greater interaction. The souvenir titled The Fourth Dimension that the Management Senate has planned to release on the occasion has a collection of thought-provoking articles contributed by faculty and scholars. It also highli ghts the activities of the institute and various events conducted in Tiecoons. The souvenir will be released at the valedictory function when the senior general manager of TAFE, Madurai, Chandra Mouli, would deliver an address and honour prize winners.
