Kshitij-2008 to begin on January 31
The fourth edition of Kshitij-2008 – the annual festival of the IIT Kharagpur will commence from January 31. Dubbed as Asia’s largest techno-management festival, Kshitij-2008, a four-day fest is said to be the largest in terms of participation, prizes, judges, workshops and guests in Asia.
Talent
“It is an opportunity for all the young scientific minds to participate, learn and showcase their talent. Students in large numbers from various technical institutes have participated in the past.
Last year we also had online overseas participation from institutes like MIT, Harvard and Princeton.
During the fest the students will get the break to intermingle and collaborate, conceive and execute plans,” said M. Narendra a third year student from the aerospace stream at the IIT and one of the programme coordinators. The fest would comprise guest lectures by eminent personalities, events and workshops.
“Events are the mainstay of our fest. This year we would have events like B-plan, open soft, tycoons, Woodstock, forex and robotix. The events are a combination of business and technical plans,” said Narendra.
The deadline for submission of the events plan is December 16. For details contact “Team Kshitij” on kshitij@hijli.iitkgp.ernet.in.
