Unleash your potential

ROSHAN RENJIT

Andhra Loyola College: The oft-quoted phrase “build your personality” is indeed a buzzword these days. Personality is actually a framework, which includes a variety of traits - attitude, awareness, sense of humour, knowledge, wisdom and, of course, a pleasing appearance.

Personality, charm, confidence and wit are the qualities that take time to develop. Little by little and day after day, your picture of your inner ‘self’ will take shape as you create plans and develop them for this. Get to know your strengths and what you actually want out of life. So, prepare a time frame and work accordingly.

As the word “personality” relates to a person’s appearance also, it is advisable for people to take care of their body health and not just straining their heads on studies or serious academic things. Normally, students are of the notion that developing one’s personality means developing bulging muscles.

Well, enhancing one’s personality includes exercising one’s body, that is, to tone it up to have smart appearance. Nobody likes to see a person having a tummy, loose chest and flabby arms.

A good fitness regime should be prepared or it would be rather good to join a fitness centre as you would get better instructions and will be under the watchful eyes of the instructors.

It is advisable to go for a daily jog with some stretching exercises or yoga. Regular exercise keeps your body fine and helps in removing toxins from your body.

Along with regular exercising you should also consume good, healthy food. Discard all junk foods, alcohol, cigarettes and aerated drinks form your menu and stick on to a balanced diet. Be careful and avoid eating outside.Clean habits makes your job half done.

A good dressing élan shows the “real you” to people. Your dressing sense shows the “inner you”. Dressing according to the occasion is pretty important. Select a good colour that suits you.

On ordinary day’s simple dressing and on major events, power dressing is required. Use a good pair of shoes to finish your attire. Remember the mantra for success - “dress immaculately and not outlandishly”.
