Natural bounty: Keats found his inspiration in nature.
The City University of New York:
Inspiration is more of individual attention than pure consequence. You cannot be inspired until you have that inbuilt enthusiasm to learn from the lessons and victories of others. Inspiration is such a majestic word that it encompasses all achievements – all success stories have an inspiration behind – and are a source of inspiration themselves.
How often do we look around to find something that can change the way we think? How often do we look for inspiration? Where is the time?
We often complain of moribund lifestyle and boring routine….how often do we challenge ourselves to do something behind the safety realm in our work place?
How often do we fight to change ourselves towards further success? It is easy to get de-motivated and drop out of something, but the tougher and interesting part lies when we struggle to remain in field thought the score card goes against us. ‘Look out for means and sources to fulfil your dreams and wishes’ read my horoscope one day – I felt it like a smack on my face – directing me towards work than dreaming of palm readings coming true.
People have found inspiration in lifeless things. Why don’t we open our eyes to the motivating stories around us moving in flesh and blood? Kalidas found inspiration in idol of a goddess, Keats found his in nature, Buddha found it by realising the realities of life…were will we find it from?
There are scores of students pursuing Computer science engineering today – how many of us know that we have a Padmabhushan hailing from a cornered village in Tamilnadu who has chartered a trailblazing life and is reckoned in world deemed universities like Stanford. I am talking of Prof. Raj Reddy, the founding director of Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon.
What greater source of inspiration do we need than these majestic personalities whose life depicts a saga of hard works and achievement?
Let us wake up to the many stories that are waiting to be learnt from – many lives that are exemplary in their motivating capacities.
Success – at any level starts from tiny seeds of hard work and pain – these are eternal truths.
Nothing worth is attained without struggle – without being inspired.
Life is all but this spirit of motivation – our first and best inspiration being our parents, whom we obviously take for granted.
Nobody works to motivate others – but we need to look at others to get motivated. Luck favours the prepared mind…indeed, luck favours the motivated soul too.
