Applications have been invited for the Joint Admission Test (JAM-2008) to be held on March 30, 2008 at various centres across the country for admission to the two-year M.Sc. programmes at all Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other programmes such as the three-year MCA and M.Tech. in Applied Geophysics at IIT Roorkee; M.Sc.-Ph.D.
Dual Degree in Physics at IIT Bombay and IIT Kanpur; and M.Sc.-PhD Dual Degree in Energy at IIT Bombay for the academic session 2008-2009.
Papers
JAM-2008 will have eight test papers – biotechnology, chemistry, computer applications, geology, geophysics, mathematical statistics, mathematics and physics, each of three hours’ duration.
A candidate can appear in either one or two test papers subject to the restrictions of the test schedule on payment of additional fee for the second test paper.
Online registration facility is being offered. For details, log on to http://www.iitk.ac.in /jam from November 12 onwards.
Eligibility
Meritorious B.Sc. holders in the relevant subjects are eligible to write the test.
