Right from toothbrush to pen, bucket and mosquito nets many things are made up of polymers. And the use of polymers had significantly gone up during the Second World War.
At present reinforced polymers, polymer composites and blends are being developed and used extensively in the fields of transport, sports, space applications and domestic purposes.
Therefore there is an urgent need to adopt safety measures in a bid to control the pollution being caused by the use of polymers.
