Medical entrance tests

The Faculty of Medicine of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University has invited applications for the entrance examination for admission to its MBBS, BDS, BAMS, B.Sc. nursing and B.Pharm. courses. The test will be held on May 24 at various centres across the country. Those who have passed Plus-Two or an equivalent examination with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate in physics, chemistry and biology and 50 per cent in English are eligible to apply. For B.Pharm., besides biology, maths, biotechnology or computer science is acceptable. The candidates should be aged 17 - 25 as on December 31, 2008 (except for BAMS for which there is no upper age limit).

Application forms and prospectus can be downloaded from the website www.aimhospital.org/academics/medicine/admissionhtml. The filled-in applications, along with a DD for Rs. 1,060 for the MBBS, BDS and BAMS courses and Rs. 560 for the B.Sc. Nursing and B.Pharm. courses, drawn in favour of the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and payable at Kochi, should be sent to the Manager, Amrita School of Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Elamakkara. P.O, Kochi - 682 026 so as to reach the addressee before April 25.
