UoH gets approval
The University of Hyderabad has got the approval for the establishment of a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) on the University Campus at the School of Management Studies. The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, will fund the TBI at a total cost of Rs. 396.30 lakh.
The break up includes Rs. 80 lakh for Land and building renovation and Furnishing, Rs. 145 lakh for Thrust area Equipments, Rs. 30 lakh for Office equipments, Rs. 136.30 lakh for Recurring cost for five years and Rs.5.0 lakh for other expenditure.
The focus will be on ‘Pharma Biotechnology, Renewable Energy and Information Technology’ and will be coordinated by V. Venkata Ramana, Dean, School of Management Studies.
TBI will constitute a Project Evaluation and Monitoring Committee which will oversee the implementation and execution of the project.
