JBIMS-Mumbai wins investment research contest
Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS)-Mumbai team wins the 2007-08 Investment Research Challenge organised by The India Association of Investment Professionals (IAIP), the member society of CFA Institute in India. CFA Institute is the sponsor of the competition.
Nine teams across India were invited for the preliminary round to submit a written research report on the company. Three teams were short-listed to enter the final round to present their analysis to a panel of judges in Mumbai.
The winning team of JBIMS attended the Asia Pacific Regional Investment Research Challenge in Hong Kong on April 12 to compete with teams from Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Indonesia. The Hong Kong Baptist University team won the regional challenge and will represent the region to participate in the Global Investment Research Challenge on May 1 in New York City.
SP Jain College, Mumbai, was the first runner-up team. The Institute for Financial Management and Research, Chennai, was the second runner-up team.
