Building animation talent through training
The institute also promotes young talent through events like 24 FPS Animation Awards.
MAAC, the education division of Maya Entertainment Ltd., is the pioneer of 3D animation and visual effects education in India. It presently operates about 60 centres and has served more than 30.000 students in India, Nepal and Middle East. It has an association with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), London, to validate its diploma couses.
The institute also promotes young talent through events like 24 FPS Animation Awards - an annual event that helps in seeking the finest talents in animation.
Toon Club, a division of Climb Media has programmes for animation education among children and for schools.
It aims at projecting animation as an art as well as a career path. Its courses are designated along international lines where the students work with the media and a gamut of subjects.
MAAC has tied up with Toon Club and the new joint venture will be co-branded as MAAC Junior - Toon Club to introduce animation and creativity at an early age. Tahzeeb Khurana, founder of Toon Club, will be technical anchor, with Krishnaswamy of MAAC as the curriculum co-developer.
The official launch and rollout is slated for the last week of May.
