J.J. Institute of Nursing conducted a ‘lamp lighting ceremony.’ Chief Medical Officer, Tirumayam, Mathuranthakie Kaliyamoorthy, inaugurated the session and lighted the first lamp.

About 50 trainees of the institute followed suit, symbolising their dedication to the profession.

Special advisor of the institute, V. K. Ramaswamy, administered the pledge to the students.

Managing trustee Kavitha Subramanian spoke on different stages of learning.

In her address, Dr. Mathuranthakie stressed the need for practising the profession with empathy.
