UoH institutes award

Sheela Raj

The University of Hyderabad has instituted a gold medal in memory of Dr. Sheela Raj, a historian from this year onwards.

The gold medal will be awarded to a candidate who obtains a Ph.D.Degree in history at the university.

According to a university press release, Dr. Sheela Raj was a historian of repute and an academic figure in society who had contributed a lot to Deccan history.
