AFMC entrance test on May 3
Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, will hold the national-level entrance examination for its MBBS course on May 3.
The college offers free and quality medical education to students who complete Intermediate with physics, chemistry and biology. The course starts in August. The application form and prospectus can be had from December 22 to January 28 from select gen
eral and head post offices on paying Rs.250. Unmarried Indian citizens may apply, if aged 17 to 22 as on December 31, 2009, relaxed up to 24 for science graduates.
Those selected should not marry during the course. Applicants should have passed Intermediate as regular students in the first attempt with 60 per cent marks in aggregate in physics, chemistry and biology and 50 per cent in each. Physical and medical fitness norms have to be met.
As many as 105 boys and 25 girls will be selected from separate rank lists based on the test and interview. Ten seats are reserved for students from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
Those selected should compulsorily live in college hostels for boys and girls till completing the course. The college is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences based in Nashik.
