MBA in Euro Asian Management
Loyola College, Chennai, has tied up with London South Bank University, U.K. to offer an MBA programme in Euro Asian Management. This course will help in facing the various challenges of business management between Europe and Asia.
Vijayan, Administrator of the Department of International Studies at Loyola College, says that there is to be an intake of approximately 25 to 30 students for this course. Out of the three semesters, one would be in Loyola College, one would be in London, and the other would be for submitting a dissertation. Those who submit their dissertation will be awarded the MBA degree in Euro Asian Management. On the other hand, if the dissertation is not given, then the student will be awarded only a postgraduation degree.
London South Bank University has been having collaboration with Loyola College for the last 10 years, offering a joint M.Sc. degree in International Business.
To sign up for this course, the student requires an undergraduate degree in management with at least four years of work experience in a managerial position. For those whose first language is not English, an IELTS Score of 6.5 is required. This would be followed by an entrance exam, and thereafter an interview.
Other than the traditional MBA papers like Financial Management, Accounting and Marketing, this course would include studies relating to the culture of Europe and Asia.
According to Mr. Vijayan, Loyola College does not guarantee any placement, but the students can register with London South Bank University, who have been ranked seventh in placements in England.
Students are also advised to take up part-time jobs in the third semester, as there will not be as much pressure compared to the other semesters.
The fee structure for the course (exclusive of boarding and lodging), would be £10,500.
