GlobalScholar (USA), which manages online learning portals ( www.globalscholar.com) and EducationWorld, are inviting nominations for the GlobalScholar-EducationWorld Young Achievers Award 2009.
The awards aim to acknowledge and inspire young achievers (between 12- 25 years of age) across India in four fields - Science, Maths and Technology; Arts and Music; Social Work and Sports.
Eight young achievers from across the country will be short-listed for the final round of interviews.
A jury will assess the all round development and personalities of finalists and among them one Young Achiever in each category will be selected and awarded at a programme to be held in Mumbai.
All travel expenses of short-listed finalists will be borne by sponsors.
The objective behind the awards is to give young Indians a platform to showcase their ideas and achievements.
“We hope that these young achievers will serve as inspiration to all children and youth countrywide,’ says Kal Raman, founder chief-executive of the Seattle-based GlobalScholar.
