Latest developments in IT discussed

Montessori Mahila Kalasala conducted a conference on information technology recently, when Montessori committee president V.V. Krishna Rao, director and correspondent V. Koteswaramma and others spoke. As part of it, quiz, coding, spot topic and poster presentation competitions were held to help students to showcase their various talents. The Montessori Kalasala computer applications and sciences department conducted the meeting.

Mr. K. Prasada Rao acted as the coordinator for the event. The speakers touched upon the latest scenarios in the IT sector.

Guest faculty

As part of the MOU between the KLEF University and the University of Cincinnati, USA, under the faculty exchange programme, Ranga Vemuri, Professor of University of Cincinnati, has joined KLEF University as a distinguished visiting professor for a period of one year. Dr. Ranga Vemuri is an internationally renowned expert in VLSI design and design automation.

“Xpressions-`09”

The MBA branch of the PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology conducted a one-day meet “Xpressions-`09” recently with enthusiastic participation of business management students from over 40 colleges. As many as eight events were conducted to gauge the potential of the students. Principal K. Srinivasu, convener Chalasani Dutt, Mechanical Department head V. Bala Krishna Murthy, MBA head P. Adi Lakshmi and others spoke.

Freshers Day

Students of Avanthi P.G. College organised a Freshers’ Day function to welcome their juniors. AP State Council of Higher Education Secretary M.D Christopher was chief guest for the function.

Addressing on the occasion, Chairman Avanthi Degree College M. Srinivasa Rao highlighted the vision and mission of Avanthi Group of Institutions.

He emphasised on the development of rural India. University College of Commerce and Business Management, Principal H. Venkateswarlu and Hyderabad Management Association president C. Kodandam also spoke, said a press release.
