A unique pathway from Singapore to Canada

This comes as a wonderful opportunity to all those who are looking for a world-class degree from one of those prestigious institutes in Canada with the icing on the cake, which is to study in Singapore and in Canada.

The Canadian International Institute of Advanced Learning (CIAL) will open its doors to the public in January 2006 to offer post-secondary students living in South-East Asia a unique educational pathway allowing them to study in Singapore for the first and second year followed by an optional third year in Toronto, Canada, to obtain an advanced diploma and then followed by a Bachelor's degree.

CIAL's Canadian partner Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Toronto is a leading educational institution with 350 diplomas/certificates and degrees and with over 15,000 full time students and 55 as part time. The total time for this study path is the same as if the student would attend the university in year one, however the advantage here is the students will receive three certificates of academic achievement through the successful completion of their course.

For a rewarding career in business

The Diploma in Business Administration program in six semesters will prepare you for rewarding careers in business in fields of management, finance, human resource, marketing and logistics. Graduates not only master the fundamentals of all business functions, but also develop the highly marketable skills of effective communication, teamwork, project management and strategic business analysis as this program capitalizes on close relationships with business professionals who constantly update the curriculum and provide valuable business contacts for students.

In their final year, students work in teams to prepare a strategic analysis report for a high-profile business enterprise and the students also get to practice independently, their business skills in a work setting to add that valuable element of "work experience" to their resume. The Tourism and Hospitality Management Diploma includes a business and entrepreneurial focus, reflecting the financial, sales and marketing, and human resource aspects of the industry.

Tourism and hospitality

The School of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism acts as a `connect' between the student, Humber and future employers, working together to achieve the mutual goal of being the leader in tourism and hospitality training. The curriculum emphasises the employer's needs for multi-skilled graduates with transferable skills. It delivers a solid foundation of critical skills, i.e. presentation, communication and analytical understanding. Humber also has a number of agreements (formal and informal) with Universities in Canada and around the world, which enables the graduates to receive advanced standing at these institutions and obtain credit for the two years of study received in Singapore.

This `India-Singapore-Canada' option to get yourself that `Diploma-Advanced Diploma-Degree' could easily be your ideal option to Hop, Skip and Jump to succeed. www.canadianinstitute.com.sg
