"To prepare individuals and organizations in Singapore and the region to stay in competitive through the provision of excellent training and well-accredited programmes’ with this as their mission statement Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) founded in 1956 is one of the oldest not-for-profit professional management institutes for lifelong learning in Singapore. In its fifth decade, MDIS has maintained its dedication to the development and training of individuals as management professionals through their courses, seminars and management services. The academic programmes offered by MDIS are in collaboration with acclaimed universities from Australia, United Kingdom and the United States of America. Some of the partner Universities of MDIS is University of Bradford, University of Wales, University of Westminster - UK, Macquirie University, Edith Cowan University, Southern Cross University – Australia, Oklahoma City University – USA.
MDIS with its headquarters located at Changi Road, Singapore has well- equipped computer laboratories, training rooms and a library with more than 6500 books and reference materials apart from the clubhouse, bookshop and a café for students’ convenience. The MDIS Centre for Biomedical Sciences and Management houses similar facilities and they have their presence through their Lifelong learning centres all around the island too. MDIS offers various Bachelor’s Degrees in Arts and Science and higher / Advanced Diplomas courses apart from its Master’s Degree in Business administration. It also offers a foundation certificate course in Biomedical Sciences. MDIS also offers Membership services through which an individual or an organization with a keen interest in the field of management get an opportunities to network and meet people while improving your skills and personal development.
MDIS also takes the community role of helping to provide for the disadvantaged in society, especially in the area of assisting deserving students achieve their academic aspirations. MDIS Education Trust Fund, which holds a Charity Status, disburses scholarships and bursaries to needy students.
