This emotional drama portrays the lives of two women and the untold anguish they experience. Gayathri, a leading gynaecologist saves Ganga, an unwed mother, who tries to commit suicide. Gayathri's world pivots on her husband, Mahadevan, a lawyer by profession and her brother, Murthy. Being childless, Gayathri treats Murthy as her own son. One day Murthy announces his desire to marry a girl of his choice and Gayathri gives her consent happily. The girl in question happens to be Ganga. Simultaneously, Gayathri learns of Mahadevan's affair with another woman...
