Hindustani vocal

AMIR KHUSRO Sangeet Academy, a non-profit charitable trust committed to promoting Hindustani classical music has organised a Hindustani vocal recital by Meera Savoor at the Raga Sudha Hall, Mylapore on July 5 at 6.15 p.m.

Meera Savoor, a disciple of Pt. Rama Rao V. Naik, belongs to the Agra Rangila Gharana. Her voice, well honed over years of regular practice, has a rare feminine charm and lilt. She has performed at the National Centre for Performing Arts at Mumbai and at the Tansen Samaroh, Gwalior.
