Karyasiddhi Mantras
VEDU'S MUSIC Mind has brought out a whole set of Karyasiddhi Mantras in CD and cassette forms. The mantras have been compiled and recited by Sri Kagapujandar Dharmalinga Swamigal of the Kolli Hills. The chanting of the mantras, handed down by the siddhars, is in a clear and vibrant style and is accompanied by commentary. Each cassette/CD covers an exclusive subject, for instance, marriage, profit in business, education, good health, safe travel, etc.
Among the other releases of the company (52149065 and 28534627. email: vedusrcl@yahoo.com) are Sri Bhairavar Mantras, ``Arunachala Girivalam," an extremely soothing set of songs on Thiruvannamalai, composed and rendered by the Swamigal and ``Arutperunjothi" of Vallalar.
On Ganesha
Vedu's Music Mind has also released Jai Ganesha charanam. The songs in praise of Lord Ganesha have been sung by Kudanthai sisters K. Bama Kannan and K. Manjula, who have also composed six out of the 12 songs in the programme. The compositions of Periasami Thooran, A. S. A. Padmanabhan, Papanasam Sivan, Ramalinga Swamigal and Kanaga Krishnan form the rest of the agenda. The singers have low-pitched voices with restricted fluency but they manage to emerge not too badly.
