Sister Therese, long settled in Pondy, has trained a number of downtrodden women. These are hand-embroidered on superior cotton with fine stitches.
The finished products of table linen, bed linen, handkerchiefs etc. are matchless. The unit is set up in a heritage building on Rue Romain Rolland, Pondicherry.
Hand-painted delights can be found at Art Centre, behind the Raj Bhavan. The paints are applied with a delicate touch, making diaphanous materials extremely attractive. Own materials too can be given, for painting on order.
Delicate organdie pouches, hand-painted with flowers, carry a folded, matching, painted kerchief inside, a kind of a gift pack.
