JEEVA'S FIRST two films produced by his dad, R. B. Choudhary, didn't do much for him — "Aasai Aasaiyai" met with a lukewarm response and "Thiththikudhae" didn't even receive that amount of attention. It was a lacklustre fare that took a beating. Choudhary, who has introduced many technicians and actors, must have felt crestfallen. But Ameer's new project, "Ram," seems to have revived the maker's hopes. The young hero has changed his appearance and hairstyle a lot for "Ram." Ameer showed himself as a director with potential in "Mounam Paesiyadhae." We'll have to wait and see what he's able to do this time ...
On a different track
M.A. Kennedy, the story and dialogue writer of "Minsara Kanna" and "Pista" makes his debut as director with "Arivumani," in which you hear that Murali dons a different role — more on the lines of what Bhagyaraj did in his heyday. "Even at the outset Murali will enter with a child in his arms," says an enthusiastic unit hand. A story laced with humour, and shot completely in scenic Ooty, Winner Creations' "Arivumani" ought to augur well for Murali, who has not been seen on screen for quite some time now.
