Golden Mandapam at Ahobilam

THE KANCHI Sankaracharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi has appealed to the public to contribute liberally for the construction of a Golden Puja Mandapam for Ahobila Math.

In a statement, he said the work, estimated to cost Rs. 70 lakhs, was expected to be completed in six months. It would commence at the Math premises in Selaiyur, near Chennai. The whole mandapam would be gold-plated.

Contributions may be sent in the form of gold or cash or cheque. Demand drafts or cheques should be drawn in favour of "Sri Ahobila Madam Thanga Pooja Mandapam - Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham Charitable Trust" and forwarded to Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam or Ahobila Math.
