Anniversary celebrations

THE TWELFTH anniversary celebrations of the Gnanaskandan Trust, 8A, Block 2, Rani Meyyammai Towers, R. A. Puram, (Ph: 24618939) was celebrated on September 12 at Narada Gana Sabha Mini Hall.

The trust brought out a cassette and book containing the compositions of Vaigal S. Gnanaskandan, founder of the trust. Kousalya Sivakumar, disciple of Gnanaskandan rendered his songs.

The trust also honoured about 20 children with titles, viz., Sangeetha Bhaskara (vocal), Laya Bhaskara (instrumental) and Bharatnatya Bhaskara (dance).

Brijeshwar Singh, Director General, AIR, gave away the awards after releasing the cassette and the book.
