Tyagaraja Aradhana at LA
TYAGARAJA ARADHANA was celebrated in Los Angeles by the Hindu Temple Society of Southern California. The students of Ganasaraswathy, Geetha Bennett, Rose Muralikrishna, Muralikrishna, Kalyani Sadanandam, Suba Narayanan, Shankari Senthilkumar, Vasantha, Padma, Sundanda and Krishnan gave a wonderful presentation. After the invocation ``Sri Ganapatini" to Lord Ganesa, the group rendered the Pancharatna kritis with devotional fervour.
This was followed by a clarionet recital by Sangeetha who also plays the violin. She is the daughter of Ganasaraswathy and the niece of the famed violin trio brothers L. Vaidyanathan, Dr L. Subramaniam and Dr L. Shankar.
The homage included recitals on the keyboard, mridangam, violin, veena and flute played by young artistes.
